Select Sentence to Paragraph if your student struggles to write a basic paragraph.
1. Writes any incomplete and or run-on sentences.
2. Does not write using proper paragraph structure:
a. Does not write a paragraph in a box form.
b. Does not write an introduction, supporting sentences, and a conclusion.
3. Uses inconsistent verb tenses, which make a paragraph confusing.
4. Has little or no experience writing using the writing process: brainstorm, standard outline, rough draft, edit and then write the final copy.
One of my favorite things about this curriculum is that my kids didn’t have to come up with their own ideas for what to write about. That can be an enormous hindrance in the writing process when a child is trying to remember all they need to know in order to write, which leaves little to no room to consider what topic they might wish to write about.Dianne, Bunny Trails
